Terms of Services
Each counselling relationship will begin with an initial assessment session where problem identification, history of the issues and how they are impacting one's current life will be identified. Subsequently to this, a treatment direction will be outlined and discussed within this session. This assessment session can often be 90 minutes in length. Each follow up session there after is scheduled for 50-60 minutes.
As identified by the Psychological Association of Alberta the psychological services will follow the fee guidelines of the provincial standard. These fees are standard and include the initial assessment session, in addition to, the follow up services.
Insurance or Benefits
Often insurance or benefit plans offered through employers will covers fees for receiving services from a Registered Psychologist. Integrative Psychological Services is presently unable to provide direct billing to insurance companies; however, receipts will be provided to assist those who have benefits plans and may receive reimbursements for psychological services.
Change in or cancellation of appointment:
A counselling session requires that a significant amount of time be reserved. In order to be fair to you, your psychologist, and other clients who are needing appointments, we have adopted a policy requiring that the regular session fee be charged for appointments that are not cancelled or rescheduled with 24 hours advance notice.
